Who we are... The Autumnwood At Hunter's Field Homeowner's Association (Autumnwood HOA) is a private homeowners'
association and suburban community, located in the city of Simi Valley, CA. The Association has been in existence since 1984 as a mutual-benefit, non-profit corporation. The planned urban development (PUD) was
developed by Griffin Homes, but is a separate entity and not connected with the developer.
Our revenue is derived from membership dues, which are mandatory upon ownership of a home within the community.
What we offer... The Association encompasses 17 acres and features a lush and shaded greenbelt, a large swiming pool
with Jacuzzi spa, and a cabana for use by the residents.
What your assessments pay for... Your monthly assessment (dues) pay for the utilities (lighting and heating) and
maintenance of the common area - the pool, spa, and greenbelt. A "Reserve Fund" is maintained for long-term replacement of the Association's assets - pool furniture, pool heater, pool pump, cabana
fixtures, decking, etc.
How we are managed... The Autumnwood Homeowner's Association is governed by a Board of Directors who are residents elected by the membership. The Association Board consists of seven (7) members, whose terms are staggered to assure continuity. There are several committees to assist in our community, such as: Landscape for property maintenance, Architectural for proposed changes, Pool for safety issues and Security for the complex maintenance. We welcome your help in any or all of these areas.
The Association's operation is similar to that of a small non-profit corporation. While we do not maintain any of
the individual homes, we do maintain the recreational facilities and commonly-owned landscaped areas. We also enforce the rules and regulations of the community, publish newsletters when appropriate, and provide
various members services. There are 146 homes within the community for an overall population of about 400.
In addition we are charged with supervising the financial stability of the association in providing ample reserves
to allow for continued operation. We are charged with enforcing the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) and making sure that a harmonious community attitude is maintained by creating a balance
between the wishes of individuals, and what is best for the community as a whole.
