It doesn't matter what your political views are when it comes to honoring those who give their lives in times of conflicts to protect
what they believe in.
We dedicate this page to Michael Anthony DiRaimondo, age 22, whose helicopter was shot down in Iraq, on January 8th, 2003. Mike was an ambitious young man who grew up in the Autumn Wood Community in
a warm, loving family. He attended Simi Valley High School and had a desire to become fire department paramedic.
He was dedicated to his work as a U.S. Army flight medic and before his passing, told his mom he felt they "were making a big difference and doing important work in Iraq."
When something like this hits so close to home it is very sad. Please remember the family, and all our troops, in your prayers.
The family has set up a foundation in his name to benefit students who want to pursue a career as a paramedic. Donations to the Michael A. DiRaimondo Foundation can be mailed to 2229 Oak Haven Av., Simi Valley, CA 93063.
